October 23rd - Autumn Lunch at Buxted Park

We are delighted to announce that we have arranged our Autumn Lunch at Buxted Park Hotel. We will be hosting this event in the Ballroom and have the use of the adjoining Coat of Arms lounge beforehand.


The full address of the venue is Buxted, Uckfield, East Sussex, TN22 4AY.

The Autumn Lunch will be a fundraising event for the Sussex Cancer Fund charity. The Committee have agreed that the cost of the three-course meal, tea/coffee, tips and venue hire will be paid for by the Club in full.

To book your place at the Lunch we are asking Joint Members to make a minimum donation of £10 per head. For Sole Members and their 1st Guest will are also asking for a minimum donation of £10 per head. For any other Guests the cost will be £67 per head which will include a £10 charity donation.

The Sussex Cancer Fund is a very worthwhile local cause so please do feel free to make your donation above the minimum figure asked for. ALL the funds raised will be going to the charity. Thank you.

We have a maximum of 100 places available and these will be allocated on a first come first served basis with priority given to Members if the event is over subscribed. So please apply very promptly to avoid disappointment.

Please arrive at 12.30 p.m., and make your way to the Coat of Arms Lounge. Lunch will be served at 1.30 p.m. Please make your food selection from the following menu and ensure you notify us on your reply slip if you have any special dietary requirements.

Starters:
  • Chicken liver parfait, beetroot and red onion marmalade, balsamic baby onions, brioche (PARFAIT) – GF.
  • Butternut and carrot soup, sour dough bread (SOUP) – V, Ve, DF, GF.
  • Salmon and dill rillette, Crème Fraîche, tomato and red pepper salsa (RILLETTE) – GF.

Mains:
  • Roast rump of Southdown lamb, dauphinoise potato, maple parsnips, carrot puree, thyme red wine jus (LAMB) – GF.
  • Grilled fillet of sea trout, fondant potato, glazed leeks, pancetta and thyme fish cream (TROUT) – GF.
  • Roast belly of crispy pork, garlic potato, creamy savoy cabbage, butternut squash, cider tarragon sauce (PORK) – GF.
  • Spinach and sweet potato filo parcel, red pepper gel, roasted squash, salsa verde (FILO PARCEL) – V, Ve

Desserts:
  • Chocolate and caramel mousse, salted caramel ice cream, dark chocolate soil (CHOC MOUSSE) – V, Ve, GF.
  • Raspberry cheesecake, Crème Fraîche sorbet, mini meringues, strawberry gel (CHEESECAKE)
  • Warm apple and sultana compote, oat crumble, yoghurt sorbet – (COMPOTE) – DF, GF.

Fresh filter coffee or tea.

The Minimum Donation for Members & Guests is £10.00 per person.

Cheques will be banked after September payday. N.B. Final numbers will be provided to the venue by 07/10/24 after which, we are unable to provide any refunds.
