I cannot believe how quickly this Event comes around each year. It must be an age thing! Anyway I am now pleased to advise you all, the Christmas Lunch is again at the East Sussex National Hotel, Little Horsted, Uckfield, East Sussex TN22 5ES. Telephone No. - 01825 880088.


Please arrive from 11.30 a.m. onwards when complimentary tea and coffee will be available, but if anyone would enjoy something stronger the Bar will be open from 11.30 a.m. on a cash or card basis.

Lunch will be served promptly at 1 p.m. and if you wish to purchase wine for your table, please can you order from the Bar immediately you arrive. This will help the Bar Staff deal with your order quickly and before the Lunch is served.

At 12.30 p.m. we will start calling you through to the National Suite.

STARTERS:

1. Cauliflower & Sage Soup with roasted sunflower seeds (VE, VEG and GF)

2. Smoked Salmon, crème fraîche, pumpkin seeds, beetroot, rye croutons & watercress

3. Chicken Parfait, red onion jam, watercress & brioche toast

4. Torched Vegan Feta with tomato chutney, olive & basil salad (VE, VEG and GF)

MAINS:

1. Turkey Paupiette Smoked Bacon, sage and onion stuffing, pigs in blankets, garlic roast potatoes, savoy cabbage with chestnuts, roasted roots & pan gravy

2. Roasted Fillet of Hake, olive oil & chive mash, chard courgette, Vierge dressing (GF)

3. Baked Aubergine, spinach, lentils, spiced hummus, roasted carrots and poppyseed pastry (VE & VEG)

4. Roasted Rack of Pork, fondant potato, roasted roots, confit red cabbage, red wine jus (GF)

DESSERTS:

1. Classic Christmas pudding with brandy custard

2. Chocolate Brownie and ice cream (VE and GF)

3. Lemon Tart, raspberry puree, crushed meringue, raspberry sorbet

4. Selection of British & European Cheeses served with spiced apple chutney & crackers

The cost for Members is £28 with Guests at £47. The Committee has again agreed that for the CHRISTMAS LUNCH ONLY, the first guest of a sole member will be afforded the Member rate of £28.

Just to remind everyone, as in previous years, if you wish to be seated with friends, please arrange your own table (maximum 10 people) and I will arrange seating for everyone else.
