Social Events

Details of all our events are published here - just click on the date and / or event title for more information. We vary the days of the week when we hold events, to give everyone as much opportunity to attend as possible.

To apply for an event, please click on this link, April, 2024 Newsletter, print off and complete the event reply slip and send, together with the payment by cheque, to the event organiser.

Places for all events are allocated on a first come, first served basis. As soon as the event organiser receives your reply slip and cheque, your name goes on the list for that event. Once the event is full, your name is placed on a reserve list and you will be notified if this is the case.

For those events that are scheduled for later in the year, we just provide the date and the title of the event. Put the dates in your diary, so that when the details are published in the newsletters, you can apply in the usual way. We will update this section with event details to coincide with the timing of newsletters.

If you are unable, for some reason, to attend any of our advertised events, we have added an extra page to our Social Events Section, called "Armchair Excursions" which lists a few suggestions for you to view from the comfort of your armchair!

How COVID-19 affects the Club's activities

This ongoing pandemic is no longer the main item of news but the disease still exists and is affecting many people, but, fortunately, not so severely. We still need to be vigilant.

Because we are now able to run our Social Programme without restriction it is important that we all protect our fellow Members and Guests. So please, I would remind you that should you feel unwell with any of the numerous symptoms you should call 111 and seek advice before attending any of our events or coffee mornings.

You can still obtain Lateral Flow Tests from pharmacies or online for undertaking home checks as well
