Stansted Park House - October, 2022
Upon arrival at the venue, we received a warm welcome from the guides before being divided into small groups for our tour of the ground floor and “below stairs”.
We also were shown inside the historic chapel in the grounds of the state before enjoying lunch and free time at the nearby Garden Centre. - Sue Russell

We were met in the entrance hall with refreshments before the tour started
We then were split into 3 groups for the tour
The kitchen, where, amongst other things, preserves were made.
The Boot Room
No, it wasn't a bank in the past - this was where the silver was kept!
The Crypt - the only part of the original house which survived the fire in 1902
This is where the servants had their meals

The Music Room - often now used for weddings and concerts

The Chapel - very ornate at the altar end, reflecting both Anglican and Jewish faiths
