Set in 1800 acres of ancient forest, Stansted House is one of the most elegant country houses in the South, surrounded by extraordinary landscaped parkland.
The house, with its magnificent state rooms and fully furnished servant’s quarters make this a truly “upstairs/downstairs” experience.
We aim to arrive by 10.30 a.m. in time for coffee & biscuits before our guided tour of the house & chapel begins.
When the tour is complete, we’ll make our way on foot to the Gardener’s Kitchen, where we’ll have a two-course lunch, which will include tea/coffee.
After lunch, there will be time to explore the grounds at your leisure before we depart at 3.30 p.m.
We will be using the usual coach pick-up points at the following times:
- 08.00 a.m. – Uckfield (Bus Station)
- 08.35 a.m. – Burgess Hill (Civic Way)
- 08.50 a.m. – Cuckfield (Whitemans Green Recreation Ground Car Park)
