Guide Dogs Autumn Break - September, 2019
What a memorable few days away!
We began with a private tour of Broughton Castle, near Banbury on our first day with a great guide before settling into our hotel.
The following day was spent with the Guide Dogs at both the Training and Breeding Centres. We learnt so much about everything this organization does to provide support for visually impaired people and of course, we met plenty of dogs who were very sociable and responsive to lots of strokes and cuddles from us all.
We were very fortunate to see so many puppies at the Breeding Centre too, including a litter of twelve pups which had been born only three days before our visit.
We were also able to provide a further donation of £230 to the Guide Dogs on the day of our visit, which was received with grateful thanks from the staff and volunteers.
Our final day was spent in Oxford with a very relaxing cruise along the river and a thoroughly enjoyable Afternoon Tea on the boat. - Sue Russell
