"Call the Midwife" tour & lunch - June, 2019
With a small but perfectly formed group of 36 of us, we made our way to Chatham Historic Dockyard.
Refreshments were served upon arrival and then we divided into two groups for our walking tours. Our guides were very knowledgeable, passionate about the TV drama series and really brought everything to life by sharing stories about how and where many of the scenes were filmed around the dockyard.
Clever scene dressers, prosthetic body parts on the babies and much more besides! It was great to be able to see the Props Room, where some scenes from the series had been recreated especially for tour groups. We thoroughly enjoyed the lunch and exploring the exhibitions before heading home. - Sue Russell
