Royal Albert Hall tour & lunch - February, 2019
After some rather tasty Danish Pastries in the Verdi Restaurant when we arrived, we were divided into smaller groups and taken on a tour of the building by three excellent guides.
We learnt about the history of the building, had a peep into the Queen’s Box and the Royal Retiring Room and took time to absorb the view of the main auditorium where so many different performances have taken place over the years.
Lunch was excellent too and we had time to relax and chat before our journey home. Although our coach had a flat battery when we boarded at the end of the day, everyone remained in good spirits while we waited for the recovery vehicle and even had a bit of a sing song! After a short delay, the problem was sorted and we were on our way home - Sue Russell
