Barrow Boys & Bankers - February, 2018

Whenever we spend a day with a Blue Badge Guide, we learn so much, have great fun and today was no exception.
Our guide, Danielle, took us to The Counting House in Cornhill for morning refreshments and then we spent some time at the Bank of England Museum so we could browse all the displays and exhibits at our leisure.
After a yummy pub lunch, we made our way to Spitalfields for a walking tour, which has a very interesting history – well worth a visit. We braved the cold weather and the rain and ended our day with some warm refreshments at Spitalfields Market before heading home. - Sue Russell
"Just a brief note to thank you for the great time out today. We enjoyed ourselves and learnt a lot about that area and incidentally about my ancestors being descended from the Silk weavers or Huguenots. I had worked nearby for 6years and could actually see my office on the 7th floor from the market and yet I had never been to the places Danielle took us. Many thanks again for your hard work and meticulous organisation.” - Tony & Sandra Hume
